The galleries on the ground floor at ISAW are free and open to the public. Our opening hours are as follows:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 11am–6pm
Thursday: 11am–6pm
Friday: 11am–8pm
Saturday: 11am–6pm
Sunday: 11am–6pm
Free guided tours of the exhibition are available on Fridays 6–7pm. Additionally, our free Object Histories tours, which focus on a particular object in the gallery, run Saturdays 11–11:45am. Reservations are not required for any ISAW tour.
We welcome school groups and classes in the ISAW galleries and are happy to provide more tailored tours and activities with educators of all levels. If you would like to book a visit, please contact our curatorial assistant at [email protected]. NYU instructors may book class visits and tours free of charge. If you would like to schedule a private tour of the exhibition, please get in touch with our curatorial assistant at [email protected] to inquire about rates.

ISAW is wheelchair accessible with a street-level elevator at the building entrance for access to the galleries and store on the ground floor. Stools and a wheelchair are available for use at exhibitions and can be requested from our gallery attendants in the gallery store. An ADA-compliant bathroom is available on the basement level, which can be accessed by the lobby elevator.
Assistive listening devices (ALDs) are available in the galleries during exhibitions and can be requested from gallery attendants in the gallery store.
Large-print versions of object labels are also available in each of the gallery rooms.
